Kobe University Participated in the 20th China International Education Exhibition Tour in Beijing, China

On March 21 and 22, Kobe University participated in the 20th China International Education Exhibition Tour held in Beijing, China. The exhibition was organized by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), a public organization under the Ministry of Education of China. It is a large-scale event in which universities and educational institutions from across the world are introduced through exhibit booths. 34 Japanese universities and other educational institutions participated in the exhibition.

Over the course of the two-day event Kobe University welcomed more than 200 prospective students who asked a variety of questions. Among other topics, they were interested in learning the details of undergraduate and graduate programs, information regarding entrance examinations, and the required Japanese and English language proficiency skills. There were also questions regarding scholarships, short-term study abroad courses, programs in which degrees can be obtained by taking subjects taught solely in English, and job opportunities after studying abroad. Kobe University staff members were available to answer each of these questions in detail. After listening to staff members explain the appeal of Kobe University, students who had initially showed little interest in studying in Japan began to show more interest and listened attentively.
