Kobe University Participated in Japan Universities Education Fair Hosted by JSPS in Shenyang and Changchun, China

On Nov. 13 and 15, Kobe University participated in the Japan Universities Education Fair which took place at Northeastern University, Northeast Normal University and Northeast Normal University Preparatory School for Chinese Students to Japan.

The fair was hosted by the Beijing Office of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and Kiheikai, a Japanese organization promoting higher education exchange activities between Japan and China. Japanese universities and research institutions with offices in China co-sponsored the fair.

The fair kicked off with a presentation of general information about studying in Japan. The participating universities then provided individual consultation to students visiting their respective booths. Kobe University welcomed approximately 150 prospective students on day 1 at Northeast Normal University, and approximately 100 prospective students on day 2 at Northeast Normal University and Northeast Normal University Preparatory School for Chinese Students to Japan. They asked a variety of questions. Among other topics, they were interested in application details for graduate programs at Kobe University, information regarding entrance examinations, required Japanese language proficiency skills, procedures for contacting academic advisors, and financial advice regarding scholarships and living costs in Japan. Prospective students actively engaged with Kobe University staff members in gathering this information, which indicated a high level of interest among Chinese students to study in Japan.
