Kobe University Participates in Japanese University Education Fair in Shanghai, China

On Nov. 18, Kobe University participated in the Japanese University Education Fair at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

The fair was hosted by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Beijing Office and Kiheikai, a Japanese organization promoting higher education exchange activities between Japan and China. Kobe University, as the organizer for this fair, collaborated with Japanese universities and research institutions with offices in China to hold the fair.

The fair started with opening remarks by Ms. LIU Li, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office at Fudan University, and Prof. WANG Ke, Director of Kobe University China Office. A presentation of general information about studying in Japan followed the opening remarks. Participating universities then provided individual consultation to students who visited their respective booths. Kobe University welcomed approximately 80 prospective students. They asked a variety of questions. Among other topics, they were interested in application details for graduate programs at Kobe University, information regarding entrance examinations, required Japanese language proficiency skills, procedures for contacting academic advisors, and financial advice regarding scholarships and living costs in Japan. Prospective students actively engaged with Kobe University staff members in gathering this information, which indicated a high level of interest among Chinese students to study in Japan.
