(1) Reach and maintain the employment rate of over 30%

(A) Build a new human resource governance system

(2) Improve career progression/ promotion rate

(B) Implement PI Training Program for International Collaborative Research

Objectives The program will dispatch women faculty to overseas institutions to increase their opportunities for promotion.
Eligible Researchers Participation is open to woman researchers who associate professors or lower in rank and who can carry out international collaborative research as a PI.
Period At least 6 months. In consideration of the work-life balance of women researchers raising children and/or caring for the elderly, this program allows them to return temporarily to Japan.
Contents Women faculty will organize international research networks and conduct collaborative research as a PI during the designated dispatch period. A “Global Mentor” will be introduced to each PI.
Expected Outcomes Women researchers are expected to be the first author for papers presented at international conferences and published in international journals, etc., with the understanding that as their achievements accumulate they will be promoted to higher positions.

(3) Expand support for the next generation of early-career researchers

(C) Implement International Human Resource Exchange Program

Objectives This program aims to increase the hiring rate of women researchers and overcome unconscious gender bias within the University by dispatching women faculty to overseas institutions.
Eligible Researchers All women faculty
Period Within one month
Contents Women researchers are expected to collect information about diversity management and conduct joint research in their designated institutions.
Expected Outcomes After returning to Japan, the dispatched researchers are required to submit diversity management reports and give presentations at the diversity management meeting.

(D) Implement International Collaborative Early-career Researcher Training Program

Objectives This is a program to send early-career women researchers to overseas institutions with the aim of fostering researchers who can work internationally.
Eligible Researchers Qualified women researchers under the age of 45 who are able to be sent overseas to be a member of a joint research project.
Period At least 6 months. In consideration of the work-life balance of women researchers raising children and/or caring for the elderly, this program allows them to return temporarily to Japan.
Contents Conducting research at institutions overseas as a member of an international collaborative research team.
Expected Outcomes Publishing papers in international journals and presenting them at international conferences.
