In September 2019, a new project entitled 'Comparing Responses to Global Transformations – Regime Changes in the V4 and Japan' was launched with a contribution by Visegrad Grants (Project ID:21920058).
Visegrad Grants is the grant of Visegrad Fund (IVF), an international donor organization that established in 2000 by the governments of the Visegrad Group countries—Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia to promote regional cooperation in the Visegrad region (V4) as well as between the V4 region and other countries, especially in the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership regions.
The launched project aims to offer young poeple from V4 cournties and Japan a better educational framework to deepen thier knowledge of topical up-to-date information of Europe forcussing on the V4 countries. The project is managed by Kobe University and 4 its strategic partners in V4 countries; 1) Jagiellonian University (Poland), 2) Eötvös Loránd University (Hungary), 3) Charles University (Czech Republic) and 4) Comenius University (Slovakia). And educational programme and reserach workshop/ conferences will be held in Japan and V4 countries during 3 semesters following April 2020.
Kobe University established a Liaison Office in Kraków in October 2015, and we are actively involved in interntational joint activities such as Visegrad Grants, Erasmus+ with Partner Universities in Central and Eastern Europe including V4 countires.
