The internship must be improved in quality in view of the education on science and technology. We have a new stream in the internship toward the new COOP education. This course aims to educate the students to discover issues in their researches with their strong desires and high abilities as well as to solve issues.

Curriculum

The so-called internship in many universities is only the pre-education for the internship as the manner education or lectures on various experiences in the companies. We have to make the students understand the background and meanings of the internship. Therefore, we hold lectures on the political background, the current status and issues of the internship, legal positions for the students, difference between Japanese educations and foreign ones in the graduate schools, innovation, organizations and disciplines, the duty to protect privileged information and models for behavior, intellectual property rights, and so on.

The cooperative education course with industry is a project study to educate the students to discover issues in the researches in the companies in cooperation with the staff of the companies. The students are sent to perform researches in the companies for the developments of the new goods. In the first step, we hold the lectures like Project-X and pre-education, while the students are sent to the companies for the researches in the companies in the second step.
