In order to promote strategic international activities, the "'Office for the Promotion of International Exchange" was launched at Kobe University on July 1, 2005.
The university was selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and was granted the "Strategic Fund for Establishing International Headquarters in Universities" in Japan.
