Faculty of Intercultural Studies Oxbridge Summer English Program This is a program promoting International Collaboration activities between Japanese and English students. Under the program, the students from Oxford and Cambridge Universities provide a two-week English course in August for Kobe University students. This is organized by the Kobe University Intercultural Research Centre cooperating with the OCEP (Oxbridge Cultural Exchange Project) and HIA ( Hyogo International Association), based on the cooperative agreement between the Graduate School and Faculty of Intercultural Studies and HIA. The estimated number of participants is 20 students from Oxford and Cambridge Universities and 30 students from the Faculty of Intercultural Studies. In addition to cultivating high-level communication skills, the program's purpose is to foster the ability to plan and organize international activities. August20 Course Details(Japanese Only)

Graduate School of Law Kobe SALAD 2014This program offers internship opportunities at a law firm in Malaysia. Students also have a chance to participate in the William C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the joint summer program between the law school of Hanyang University and Kobe University. Under this program, researchers from Asian countries and Kobe University hold intensive courses and discussion activities to explore the latest trends in Asian Business law. Graduate School of MedicineElective Courses The School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Medicine have been receiving undergraduate students from overseas for a short period each year as part of the Re-Inventing Japan Project since 2013. From 2014 we will begin "Elective Courses" for exchange students at the undergraduate level, which have international compatibility and ensure consistency across the curriculum. Education center on computational science and engineeringJoint Simulation School with European and American universitiesThis program provides students with opportunities to acquire fundamental knowledge and skills in computer simulation as well as learning about the most advanced simulation research using the supercomputer FX10. The period of the program is 8 days in Kobe and 10 days at cooperating universities in the US or Europe. International Students CentreKobe University, Summer Program in Japanese Language & Culture Since 2003, this summer program has been provided for students studying Japanese at institutions that have academic exchange agreements with Kobe University. Graduate School of Agricultural ScienceWorkshop on techniques in English Speech DeliveryThis 5-day intensive interactive lecture concerns techniques of English speech delivery, especially persuasive speech. It is taught by a professor of English language training from The University of the Philippines, Los Banos. Each class consists of 20 students, one professor and four assistants. Centre for EU-Japan Collaborative Education (EJCE)Summer Camp Academic ENGLISH @KUThis 2 weeks programme is designed for students who plan to study abroad to improve their speaking, listening, reading, and academic writing skills in small groups (approx. 10 students/class). More than just offering daily lessons, the summer school hopes to be like a summer camp where interactions and intercultural exchange continue after class.
