Representatives from the Kobe University Center for Asian Academic Collaboration will participate in the First International Conference of the East Asian Consortium of Japanese Studies. The event will take place from November 30 (Wed) to December 2 (Fri) at Songdo Convensia in the Republic of Korea.

Researchers in East Asian universities are working towards the establishment of an “East Asian Consortium of Japanese Studies” in order to deepen academic exchange between Japanese studies researchers across national borders. As part of this initiative, the Seoul National University Institute for Japanese Studies has taken the lead in organizing the First International Conference of the East Asian Consortium of Japanese Studies.

This conference will provide East Asia-based researchers with an opportunity to share their insights on diverse fields in Japanese studies, and further facilitate research on Japan.
