In collaboration with Japan Foundation London, two Japanese universities, Kobe University and Tohoku University, in the areas hit by the mega disasters respectively in 1995 and 2011, will report on their involvement and initiatives at the time of the disasters to discuss with participants the role of higher education institutions in the process of disaster recovery.
